Terms of
service.

The rules of the road, in plain language. The short version: the estimates are directional, the content is general, and the service is free.

Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using Salary Clout, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of them, you should not use the site.

What the service is

Salary Clout is a free, client-side salary benchmarking and negotiation preparation tool. It provides directional estimates of market pay based on aggregated compensation patterns, along with scripts and guidance for negotiation conversations.

The service does not require an account and does not store your personal data on our servers.

No guarantees about the estimates

All salary figures produced by the estimator are directional estimates generated from aggregated market patterns, not offers, guarantees, or promises of actual compensation. Real pay varies by employer, negotiation, specific circumstances, and market conditions that change over time.

You should treat the estimates as evidence to inform a conversation, not as a definitive statement of what any particular employer will pay you.

No professional advice

The content on Salary Clout, including articles, scripts, and negotiation guidance, is general information provided for educational purposes. It is not legal, financial, tax, or career advice, and it does not create any professional relationship between you and Salary Clout.

For decisions with significant financial or legal consequences, consult a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, including by attempting to disrupt its operation, reverse-engineer the benchmark model for resale, or use the content in a way that misrepresents it as official compensation data.

You may share, quote, and link to the site and its articles; we ask that you attribute the source.

Intellectual property

The site design, benchmark model, articles, and other original content on Salary Clout are owned by Salary Clout and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may use the estimator and read the content for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.

Service availability

We provide the service on an "as available" basis and may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Salary Clout is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service or reliance on its estimates or content. Because the estimates are directional and the service is provided free of charge, your use is at your own risk.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date below. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
