Salary Clout is a client-side salary benchmarking tool. The estimator runs entirely in your browser, the inputs you enter (role, industry, experience, location, current salary) are never sent to our servers, never stored, and never shared. There is no account, no login, and no database of your personal data.

If that is all you need to know, you can stop here. The rest is the formal detail.

We do not require an account and we do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or employer. The salary estimator computes its results locally in your browser using the benchmark data bundled with the page. Your inputs and results do not leave your device.

We do not use tracking pixels, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics that profile you across the web.

When you load the site, our hosting infrastructure may record standard request logs, IP address, timestamp, requested path, and browser type, for the purposes of security, abuse prevention, and uptime monitoring. These logs are retained only as long as operationally necessary and are not associated with any personal account, because none exists.

If we enable privacy-respecting analytics in the future, it will be aggregate and anonymized, and we will update this policy accordingly.

We classify every data technology we use into three categories: Necessary, Analytics, and Marketing. Necessary technologies keep the estimator and core pages working and cannot be turned off. Analytics and Marketing technologies are optional and load only after you explicitly grant consent through the cookie banner.

Your consent choice is stored locally in your browser under a record containing a schema version, the Necessary/Analytics/Marketing flags, an approximate region tag, and creation/expiry timestamps. No passwords, keys, or private data are ever stored. The record expires after one year, after which we ask again.

Google Analytics loads only after you accept Analytics consent, and Google AdSense (and any other marketing scripts) load only after you accept Marketing consent. No non-essential script runs before you provide consent, and the site remains fully functional when Analytics and Marketing are disabled.

The site is served through standard web hosting and content delivery infrastructure. These providers may process request data as part of delivering the page to your browser, but they do not receive your estimator inputs, which never leave your device.

Optional integrations, Google Analytics (Analytics category), Google AdSense (Marketing category), and Google Search Console verification, are wired with clearly labeled placeholder identifiers until provisioned. These are public identifiers, not secrets. Analytics and AdSense load only after the matching consent is granted; Search Console verification is a passive meta tag that does not track you.

Salary analysis insights are generated through a built-in AI service routed through our server. Your estimator inputs are sent to that service only when you submit the form, and a deterministic fallback runs locally if the AI service is unavailable.

Salary Clout is intended for adults evaluating compensation. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children, and because we do not collect personal information from anyone, no special age-based handling is required.

Because we do not store your personal data, there is no account to delete and no profile to export. You can clear any locally stored interface state at any time through your browser’s site data controls.

If we change how the service handles data, we will update this page and revise the effective date below. Because the estimator is client-side by design, material changes to data collection are not expected.
